FAQs

What should I wear?  Fitted sports/soft clothing and socks please.

Why do I have to do a 1:1 session before joining a group? This will enable me to complete an assessment, fill in your history, to begin to teach you the Pilates method and look at your specific needs.

Should I do studio or mat sessions? Both - if time and funds allow - as each will enable a greater understanding of the method and the studio equipment will often allow more immediate results than mat work.

How much does it cost? Call 07801 599578 to check times and prices.

Will I ache? Possibly initially - as you re-find forgotten muscles , but nothing should cause pain. As a skilled Pilates practitioner I will recommend a suitable programme for your needs.

Will it  help a bad back? Pilates teaches you to use the correct muscles to support your spine. The benefits are usually a reduction in back pain and the related symptoms. It is advisable to consult your doctor before commencing any exercise regime. You may wish to book a Back4Good assessment.

What is Back4Good? This is a level 4 course (the highest approved level under the Register of Exercise professionals) that is designed to specifically address the needs of those with back issues, setting short and long term goals with ongoing support and exercises to help rehabilitate each individual.
